Fingal County Council

Anchor 1

Fingal County Council is a Local Authority to the north of Dublin. The county covers an area of 452sq km and is home to 300,000 citizens. We are uniquely placed to offer genuine commercial opportunity leading to successful and enduring investment, while our diverse range of urban, suburban, coastal and rural areas provide a high quality of life for employers and employees alike.

Home to bustling towns, stunning beaches, beautiful parks, historic castles and world-class amenities like the renowned Portmarnock Golf Club, Fingal is ‘Dublin’s playground’, and is full of attractive and increasingly sought-after places to live.

While our county remains 53 per cent agricultural, the development of areas like Swords, Balbriggan and Dublin 15 have contributed to a growing population. With the lowest average age in Ireland, and the fastest growing population, we are also one of Ireland’s most ethnically and culturally diverse areas, where there is great emphasis on engaging and welcoming all members of the community.

Our business environment is thriving. We are home to numerous international corporations including Paypal, Bristol Myers Squibb, IBM and Alexion. As a Council we have extensive experience in supporting commercial activity and development, with the Dublin Enterprise Zone and Stephenstown Industrial Estate being prime examples of our commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment.

All the many business and industrial parks across the county benefit from their proximity to Dublin Airport which functions as an economic and infrastructure hub for the region. Commercial, domestic and logistical links between Fingal, the Airport, and Dublin City are well developed while the county also possesses the best road, rail, sea and air connectively in Ireland making it easy to travel nationally and internationally from Fingal.

Fingal combines an attractive quality of life and a wide-range of natural and developed amenities with a strong commercial culture and growing business opportunities. If you would like to grow with us and experience Fingal – on Dublin’s doorstep, globally connected, but a place all of its own – then we would like to hear from you.
